Python Django Registration Application

Python Django Registration Application

We need to create a Django project and a Django app:

django-admin startproject registration
cd registration
python manage.py startapp signup_login

We now have a project named registration and an app named signup_login signup_login/apps.py

from __future__ import unicode_literals
from django.apps import AppConfig
class CoreConfig(AppConfig):
    name = 'core'

signup_login/views.py

from django.contrib.auth.decorators import login_required
from django.contrib.auth import login, authenticate
from django.contrib.auth.forms import UserCreationForm
from django.shortcuts import render, redirect
@login_required
def home(request):
    return render(request, 'home.html')
def signup(request):
    if request.method == 'POST':
        form = UserCreationForm(request.POST)
        if form.is_valid():
            form.save()
            username = form.cleaned_data.get('username')
            raw_password = form.cleaned_data.get('password1')
            user = authenticate(username=username, password=raw_password)
            login(request, user)
            return redirect('home')
    else:
        form = UserCreationForm()
    return render(request, 'signup.html', {'form': form})

And then visit http://localhost:8000/ in your browser
